COMMISSION TERMS — KRUPA MISTRY ART
Last updated: 10 October 2026
1. About Commissioned Artwork
Krupa Mistry Art offers bespoke artwork commissions created by Krupa Mistry.
A commissioned artwork is created specifically for an individual customer based on their agreed requirements, such as subject, size, materials, colours, style or other specifications.
These Commission Terms apply to bespoke artwork commissions and should be read together with our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Returns & Refunds Policy and Shipping & Delivery Policy.
2. Requesting a Commission
To request a commission, please contact:
Krupa Mistry
Email: krupamistryart@gmail.com
Please provide as much information as possible, including:
The type of artwork you would like
Preferred size
Preferred materials
Subject or theme
Colour preferences
Any reference photographs or images
Your preferred completion date, if applicable
Delivery destination
Providing this information does not guarantee that we will accept the commission.
3. Commission Quote
Once we understand your requirements, we will provide a quotation.
The quotation may include:
Artwork price
Materials
Delivery costs
Any other agreed costs
The quotation will remain valid for the period stated in the quotation.
A commission will only be confirmed once the customer has accepted the quotation and any required deposit has been paid.
4. Deposit and Payment
A deposit may be required before work begins.
The amount of the deposit and the date on which the remaining balance is due will be agreed with the customer before work begins.
Where a deposit is required, work will generally not begin until the deposit has been received.
The remaining balance must be paid before the completed artwork is dispatched, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
5. Changes to the Commission
Before work begins, we will agree the main requirements of the commission with you.
Once work has started, significant changes to the agreed design, subject, size, materials or other requirements may result in:
Additional charges
An amended completion date
A new quotation
Minor adjustments that are reasonably part of the creative process may be made without additional charge where appropriate.
6. Reference Images
Customers may provide photographs or other reference material to help with the commission.
You must have the appropriate permission to provide any photographs or other material to us.
If you provide a photograph created by another person, you are responsible for ensuring that you have permission for it to be used as a reference where permission is required.
We will not knowingly reproduce another artist's work as our own.
7. Artistic Interpretation
Commissioned artwork is an original creative work.
While we will make reasonable efforts to follow the agreed requirements, the final artwork may contain artistic differences from reference photographs, sketches, digital previews or discussions.
Differences in colour, texture, brushwork and other artistic details are normal characteristics of original artwork.
These differences do not necessarily mean that the artwork is defective or does not meet the commission agreement.
8. Completion Times
We will provide an estimated completion timeframe when the commission is agreed.
Completion times are estimates rather than guaranteed deadlines unless we have specifically agreed a fixed deadline in writing.
Delays may occur because of:
Availability of materials
Unexpected circumstances
Illness
Shipping delays
Customer delays in providing information or approvals
Other circumstances outside our reasonable control
If there is a significant delay, we will communicate with you and provide an updated estimate where possible.
9. Customer Approval
Where appropriate, we may provide photographs, sketches or other progress information during the commission.
If customer approval is requested, the customer should respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Delays in providing requested information or approval may affect the completion date.
10. Final Artwork
Once the artwork is completed, we may provide photographs of the finished piece before dispatch where appropriate.
The artwork will then be prepared for delivery once the final payment has been received.
11. Cancellation
Because commissioned artwork is created specifically for an individual customer, cancellation rights may differ from those applying to standard artwork purchased from our website.
Where artwork has been made to the customer's specifications or has been clearly personalised, the statutory right to cancel may not apply in the same way as it does to standard goods.
However, we will always deal with cancellation requests fairly and in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.
If you need to cancel a commission, please contact us as soon as possible at:
If work has already begun, we may have incurred costs for materials and time. The treatment of any deposit or payment will depend on the circumstances and the applicable law.
12. If We Need to Cancel
In exceptional circumstances, we may need to cancel a commission.
If we do so, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
Where appropriate, any payment that you are legally entitled to have refunded will be refunded.
13. Delivery
Once the commission is completed and paid for, it will be packaged and prepared for delivery.
Delivery costs and arrangements will be agreed as part of the commission.
For international deliveries, the customer may be responsible for applicable:
Import duties
Customs charges
Local taxes
Brokerage fees
Other charges imposed by the destination country
14. Damage During Delivery
If commissioned artwork arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible at:
Please provide photographs of:
The artwork
The packaging
Any visible damage
Please retain the original packaging until the issue has been resolved.
We will work with you and, where appropriate, the delivery company to resolve the problem.
Nothing in these Commission Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
15. Returns
Because commissioned artwork may be created specifically to your requirements or personalised for you, the normal cancellation and return rules for standard artwork may not apply.
However, this does not remove any rights you may have where the artwork is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise fails to meet applicable legal requirements.
Please see our Returns & Refunds Policy for further information.
16. Copyright
Copyright in the commissioned artwork remains with Krupa Mistry unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
Purchasing a commissioned original artwork does not automatically transfer copyright to the customer.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the customer may not:
Reproduce the artwork commercially
Create prints from the artwork
Put the artwork on merchandise
Sell reproductions
License the artwork
Use the artwork commercially
Personal display of the original artwork is permitted.
17. Use of Commissioned Artwork
Krupa Mistry Art may photograph completed commissioned artwork for use in:
Portfolio material
Website content
Social media
Marketing
Exhibitions
Promotional material
If a customer has a specific reason why their commissioned artwork should not be publicly displayed or used for promotional purposes, they should discuss this with us before the commission is agreed.
Any agreed restriction will be respected.
18. Customer Information and Privacy
Personal information provided during a commission will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Information may include your name, email address, delivery address, telephone number, commission requirements and communications relating to the artwork.
19. Agreement
By accepting a commission quotation and paying any required deposit, you confirm that you have read and understood these Commission Terms.
Any specific terms agreed in writing between Krupa Mistry Art and the customer will take precedence over these general Commission Terms where there is a conflict.
